Who we are

Wonderlamp Industries GmbH (WLI) is a Berlin and Potsdam/Babelsberg based company founded by both visionary media technology- and film experts. Wonderlamp is developing unique technology called DJINNI, designed to bring Virtual Reality communication and content production to many industries as well as consumers. Wonderlamp is privately held by the management team and private investors. The company holds a strong patent portfolio around the process and technology of its DJINNI tool.

Stephan K. Schindler

CEO

Stephan started his career in content production as cameraman and editor. After university, he joined the, then start-up, Avid Technology and started its German operation. He then ran the European sales and marketing operations based in London, before he moved to Avid’s headquarters in Boston, where he headed its global Broadcast business unit as General Manager.

Following 10 years at Avid Technology, he joined Sendmail Inc., starting and running its Central and Northern European Business based in UK.

In 2002 Stephan joined Silicon Graphics Inc., where he formed a Broadcast business unit across EMEA and eventually spun it out under the name “Silex Media”, which he ran as CEO from 2006 and managed the acquisition of DAVID Systems and its subsequent management buy-out. In 2009 Silex Media was acquired by TATA Consultancy Services, after which he headed TCS’s world wide ‘Digital Media’ initiatives. Stephan joined Wonderlamp Industries as CEO beginning of 2014.

Marius Schwarz

CFO

Marius studied Law, Dramatics and Economics, while at the same time working as Production Manager and assistant Director for German and American Film- and Television Productions. He is an accredited tax advisor and holds an academic degree in economics. Marius started his career in Finance at Ernst & Whinney (today Ernst&Young) held several CFO and similar roles in significant Media enterprises such as Kirch Group, TaurusFilm, BetaFilm, SAT.1, CinemaxX, EM TV and others.

Marius managed various turn-arounds and developed new business parks such as the Munich Media Center around the former AGROB campus (todays home of DSF, Home Shopping Europe, Antenne Bayern, Sky Deutschland and others).

Since February 2005 Marius is CFO at Studio Babelsberg and added the CFO responsibility for Wonderlamp Industries in January 2014.
